Manufacturing Engineer


  1. Evaluates and develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.

  2. Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements; ensuring design for manufacturability on new products.

  3. Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, equipment layout, and cycle time analysis.

  4. Major driver, instructor, and implementer of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and visual factory.

  5. Creates and maintains process data (i.e. work instructions, engineering technical standards, stand work sequencing, and routings.).

  6. Have a thorough understanding of Welding and Metal Fabrication processes.

  7. Must be able to work both independently and as part of the team to complete complex projects in a timely manner and within budget constraints.

  8. Comply with all Quality and Safety regulations.

  9. Other duties may be assigned by Manager as needed.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor?s degree in Engineering. (Industrial or Systems Engineering preferred)

  • Preferably 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing setting, or a combination of education and experience.

  • Must be proficient with lean manufacturing and related principles.

  • Proficient in 2-dimensional CAD ? Required. 3D SolidWorks program ? Preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
