1K a year The PLC Maintenance Technicians job is a core component for our maintenance forces and requires a trained and experienced individual to continue our success.
The PLC Maintenance Technician performs all maintenance functions necessary to maintain all operating and service equipment using standard and specialized tools and equipment including mobile equipment, pendant and overhead cranes and forklifts.
As an PLC Maintenance Technician, you will install, maintain, repair, and operate a range of PLC systems and equipment in a heavy industrial environment to maintain continuous operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair a range of electrical and electronic systems and equipment using schematics, AC/DC systems, and PLC's.
Provide assistance in operating functions as necessary.
May work alone with minimal supervision or with other maintenance technicians.
Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment used in production and related services.
Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties.
Make repairs or adjustments to keep equipment in production.
Rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome components and attachments to involve dismantling, inspection, machining, or replacement of purchased parts.
Perform skilled operations such as filing and aligning bearings, spindles, and shafts; adjust feed and limit mechanisms, gibs, and ways.
Perform various activities relative to the installation and relocation of existing machines and equipment to involve dismantling, erection, leveling, fitting, and aligning operations.
Perform maintenance on the buildings, facilities, and the grounds.
Assist to determine the nature and scope of forthcoming projects and the requirements for completion.
Perform preventative maintenance on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning units.
Maintain required maintenance logs and files.
Perform routine housekeeping activities in the department and ensure adherence to established safety procedures and requirements.
Satisfy the required hours of the department while following safety regulations EDUCATION AND
Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of manufacturing and/or industrial experience (including relevant experience gained in military service) or a 2 year technical degree.
This includes experience in any of the following:
industrial electronics, motors and controls, schematics, and electrical power, print reading, computers and PLC's, electronics, AC/DC theory, power, test instruments and instrumentation, electrical maintenance, commercial construction, and installation.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Able to speak effectively with employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms.

The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate to loud, and hearing protection is required in specific areas of the facility.
Work in various areas of the plant locations is required.
Dependent upon the area, environmental conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
